As of 2012, Barnboken will be an Open Access online-only journal published by Co-Action Publishing on behalf of the Swedish Institute for Children’s Books.
Barnboken was established in 1977, since 2010 the Journal exists both in printed and electronic editions. From 2012, the journal, including archival material, can be found at www.barnboken.net (not yet available).
The journal will be published under a Creative Commons Non-Commercial 3.0 license, allowing for re-use for non-commercial purposes, and will be free to access and free to publish in. Articles are available in HTML, XML, PDF and EPUB formats. Co-Action Publishing content is OAI compliant to allow for archiving.
Readers around the world will have free access to the latest articles immediately they have been accepted and edited and will no longer be collated into issues. Readers can be notified by email on the publication of an article or an issue of the journal.
